Actually, my point was that your article skull-fucked the English language and you need an editor to sort that stuff out. Shall I demonstrate?

and never.. use "I myself" in a sentence, it's redundant.

Oh I don't doubt the presence of grammatical errors, I had a friend proof read and edit a little but he was doing a heroic in ToR at the time. I did the write up later that night after a few glasses of wine which doesn't really help a whole lot either.

Anyway, it's not like I'm getting paid for it or anything.

Interesting results, but would have been more useful if they weren't half vsync'd. ;)

That feel when you grammar Nazi someone and are wrong yourself :P. I myself and I personally are grammatically fine: the redundant word is used for emphasis.

While that might be grammatically correct, much of the rest wasn't, but that's neither here nor there. The use of "I myself" is frowned on in any context, especially in technical papers. In fact, just using the word "I" in a tech paper is rare. I've written a ton of papers that go through an extraordinarily stringent review for government publication, and I do know a few things about how they are constructed.

My point really wasn't to bag on the grammar, but suggest that some editing be done to clean it up.

There's been a lot of versions of that article written recently. The "atheism is just another religion" canard. It's a bogus and stupid comparison, but most people get paid by "being in the center" and so will do and say anything to be in that spot. Intellectually, it's cowardice because they know they're just making shit up and drawing invalid analogies.

The news media does that same sort of thing constantly. They do the "Democrats say", followed by "Republicans say" - and never actually tell you which is true, because they think their job is stenography and "presenting both sides".

I'm actually getting out of the politics and religion writing game after having done 7 solid (nearly daily) years of it, because it's just become so stupid and pointless. I'm becoming more interested in the sociology of it, and just plain ol' staying away from crazy fuckers, rather than participating in any larger movements that have an agenda.. because the agendas always turn out to be bullshit and ineffective anyway.

I'm trying to figure out what I should be writing about, because I do have a certain knack for it.. patting myself on the back and all.. and the only thing that seems to motivate me is writing about how stupid people are, and my dog. My dog, incidentally, being far brighter than most human beings.

The other day, I wrote roughly 200 words about an air purifier I bought recently. That was fun.
