I saw the eye rape free edition on Saturday night and was rather pleased, did not suck.

Actually the 3D was pretty good in it, but wasn't really necessary for about 30 or 40% of the film. Looked really nice in the fighting scenes though.

P.S. Game of Thrones is kicking all sorts of ass.

Agreed. Third episode was my favorite so far. Finally getting to know some of the characters. Still several scenes could have been elongated to get a real feel for what was going on. Specifically Dany in the grass fields... They didn't really explain why making Viserys walk was such a big deal, and I'm pretty sure Dany commanded him to walk, not Aggo, which seems an odd thing to change.

Anyway, I'm loving it, Sean Bean is amazing as Ned, and those children are holding their own when it comes to acting. Joffrey is great, Sansa and Arya are perfect. All in all it's shaping up nicely.

It's already been picked up for a second season as well which is great. I'm going to check out the books at some point as well, i've heard they're a great read.

The inevitable US version for those that don't like subtitles.

Two reasons why I'll watch this though:

1. David Fincher is directing
2. Trent Reznor is doing the music

And Game of Thrones gets even better, especially after todays episode. A lot more faithful to the book than previous eps, but that was probably due to GRRM writing the episode :) Finished reading the book too and the last couple of eps should be fairly action packed.

This is one show I'll definately be getting on Blu Ray, 720p doesn't do it enough justice.

Just watched that before, seems they're trying to get on the Transformers bandwagon.

Cowboys and Aliens was amazing. I was surprised at all the big names but also that I never once stopped during the movie and said "This premise is crazy". Daniel Craig was really good, as was Ford. Overall just a really entertaining movie.

Good sign that HBO is behind the show. George better get his ass into gear and finish off the next two books. I've just started on Dance of Dragons after finishing Feast for Crows this weekend. Wasn't a fan of that one and was hard to get through, hopefully they don't use much of that book for the series.
