For those with Blu Ray, Amazon is have a 53% off sale on selected Blu Ray titles at the moment:

www.amazon.com/gp/featur...ag=bluraynews-20

If you're buying from Aus, make sure to check this site to see if the movie you want is Region B compatible.

http://bluray.liesinc.net/

I've already selected my first five titles :) Just bought the Sony Bravia 40 inch LCD yesterday and will send off for my free PS3 soon which should get here in a few weeks :)

Go go multiple posts:

Seems some of the adult film companies are now also switching from HD-DVD to Blu-Ray.

Picked up Superbad and The Prestige on that sale. Saved me a good 20 bucks when compared to buying in-store.

Az, what model PS3 are you getting?

No idea, the latest model I assume. I have to send off my receipt and the code from the TV box to Sony tomorrow and it will probably take 3-4 weeks to get here. Apparently they only started processing orders from end of December :Z

This is the promo site:

http://www.sony.com.au/homecinema/article.jsp?id=4047

Got the tv yesterday btw, very droolworthy.

I'm probably going to use it more as a Blu-Ray player than for gaming. If I have some money left over after I buy my amp and speakers, I might get COD4 or something.

Hanging out for GTA4 though, thats a definate buy.

Sony announced a couple days ago that they are going to stop selling the 20 and 60 gig PS3's in Japan... that may include Australia. So maybe they are sending off all their extra stock of those models in that promotion your taking advantage of. /shrug.

Really the only games in '08 im looking forward to on the PS3 are MGS4 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Yeah the new SW game does look good. I can't help but think there are going to be nerds on their Wii in the hooded cloaks pretending to be Luke and someone then upping it to Youtube :)

The reason I said that may include Australia is because I wasn't sure if Japan and Australia fell under the same region coding.
